I was drawn to this set for one reason. The tires. The rest of it is decent, but these tires inspired me for other builds.

I know it wouldn't have been as flashy and recognizable but I wish the printed pieces on the pallets were the shipping boxes that the sets arrive to the store in, instead of loose set boxes just floating around. Those are NOT going to stay stacked up nicely after a long truck ride.

Just got this on sale at about 50% off, really great set. Might even get a second, then fill the 2nd with 501st.

One of the reasons behind the fact that I choose to watch your video's instead of all those other youtubers is the fact that it is also a relaxing experience ontop of the fact that it's well informed. If you would like to get a short list for the plusses and the minusses for a model, then you can take your pick amongst a big Bach of other people that also make this kind of video's. Glad you asked us our opinion, for me personally it is the whole package that you get from a Jang-made-video and that needs to include the relaxing way of sharing your thoughts experience and information with all of us. The biggest draw down for me is the color green against the color green on the real car.

It looks great and I'm definitely going to get it, and maybe the Mobile Crane too, which also looks incredible, BUT I'm gonna wait to get them on sale. I feel like full price is a bit much, despite how good these things look. Also, I'm so hyped that Lego has made an excavator for City that doesn't use that same bucket that they typically use.

Lego is meant to be played with not to be displayed only. So its kinda sily adults complain its not accurate and so on. Lego sets is meant to get kids imagination going and play.

I really love this set. I think it looks great. I love the realistic look. The colours are great. The ball joint having some resistance actually sounds great to me. I don't think that takes away from play. I hated it if my toys had no resistance and would just flop around. The blue connectors should be black obviously. Some of the gray parts should have been black *(but not all). Other then that i think its perfect. I bought it for 40 bucks, and compared to star wars pricing i feel this is very fair. Also i think its perfect and i will never want another digger again.

At 3:10. This wrecks it for me. Do you think that one could buy longer bar pieces and cut them to the right length to make them connect with the bottom of the next layer? They're supposed to be support beams like in the real tower.

Is this the first time a City excavator has had a proper bucket piece (instead of repurposing the wide, front-loader bucket)? The whole arm looks "40% City / 60% Technic" to be honest!

They sit too tall

It's very weird for a forest based set to contain no animals, not even a frog or a small bird

Crappiest stand ever I just put final piece on lifted it and the whole thing just shattered....throwing it away I might be done with these sets after this I spent so much time building this just for it's weak poorly designed stand to shatter almost had it somewhat fixed but so much is wrong its not worth it. I'll stick to sets like the falcon or star destroyers they make it possible to lift easier and move. 0 out of 10

Love this shape. Would love to see a Chima crocodile driving it lol. Speed Champs are always great parts packs so it's good to see such a rare color, and this looks like such a fun build. I have to get this and I'm not a car guy by any means

re: clips are a major major feature, there's already a way to combine multiple sets. It's called studs. I for one like this little environment that can be added onto the bigger set and wish Star Wars got more of these rather than more useless speeders.

They should have similar builds they all look the same to Me on TV, but then Im not a huge care race fan.

Ive got no love for mercedes vehcles in general but that being said this is an incredible set. Price: absolute steal Accuracy: very similar to source material Comparison: fits perfectly in with the rest of the 8 wide speed champions line up

Ooh, that looks good. Only criticism for me is that it's a teethed scoop. I've worked a lot around excavator but always with smooth edged scoops.
